Woman of the Week : Barbara Yolles-Hill

Barbara Yolles-Hill is the founder of A Little Something Extra, a company making gift baskets of personalized, custom chocolates.

Until recently, she didn't even realize she wanted to be an entrepreneur. It was only after feeling a need for, well, a little something extra that Barbara turned it into a business.

After moving from New York to Florida as a teenager with her family, Barbara studied graphics in school. She spent almost 25 rewarding years in the industry. But something was missing. The problem wasn't boredom or too much free time. As a single mother with two teen boys, three dogs, a cat and a full-time job as a production supervisor for multi-million dollar catalog company, Barbara's plate was pretty full.

She still needed an outlet for her creative side. Something fun. Something rewarding - personally and financially. That's when Barbara came up with A Little Something Extra.

The idea is both sweet and simple. She starts with crowd-pleasing classic Hershey® bars and dresses them in wrappers customized to match an event's theme. Decorations can include corporate logos, graphics, personal inscriptions and even a rhinestone for extra special sparkle. Beautifully wrapped baskets of the custom bars are perfect gifts for anything from intimate parties to large corporate training events.

The best part is that Barbara's baskets aren't just products. They're creations she enjoys making and her clients really enjoy giving.

You can see samples of A Little Something Extra's custom baskets and chocolate on Facebook - just search for her name. Contact Barbara at 954-829-8862 or ALittleSomethingExtra@comcast.net to make your gathering a little more special.
